Adaptive Release
Adding a Basic Adaptive Release Rule
- Click Control Panel
- Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
- Select Manage (on the right side) next to the content item
- Select Adaptive Release
- Select desired settings in one or more section
- Click Submit
- Click OK
Note: A rule can be created for one content item. Each criterion will dictate availability of this content item to users.
Modifying a Basic Adaptive Release Rule
- Repeat steps 1-4 above
- Modify desired settings
- Click Submit
- Click OK
Adding an Advanced Adaptive Release Rule
- Click Control Panel
- Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
- Select Manage next to the content item
- Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
- Select Rule (top action bar)
- Enter a Name for the rule
- Click Submit to return to the Manage Criteria page
- Select any rule types (options) in the action bar to create a new rule
- Click OK
- Repeat steps 5-9 to add multiple rules to a single content item
- Click OK
- Click OK

Modifying the Criteria of an Advanced Rule
- Click Control Panel
- Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
- Select Manage next to the content item
- Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
- To add, modify, or remove, select Modify next to the criteria
- To add criteria, select any options in the action bar
- To remove criteria, click the checkbox next to the criteria and select Remove in the action bar
- To modify criteria, select Modify next to the description of an item
- Repeat step 5
- When done, click Submit and/ OK
- Click OK
Copying an Adaptive Rule
- Click Control Panel
- Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
- Select Manage next to the content item (that has rules)
- Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
- Click the checkbox next to the rule
- Select Copy in the action bar
- A copy of the same rule is found at the bottom of the list.
- To modify the Rule Name, see instructions below.
Modifying a Rule Name
- Click Manage next to the rule or copy
- Modify the Rule Name
- Click Submit
- Click OK
- Click OK
Removing an Adaptive Release Rule
- Click Control Panel
- Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
- Select Manage next to the content item with the rules
- Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
- Click the checkbox(es) (several rules can be removed simultaneously)
- Select Remove in the action bar
- Click OK
- Click OK
Note: Basic Adaptive Release rules can be removed on the Advanced Adaptive Release page.
