Adaptive Release

Adding a Basic Adaptive Release Rule

  1. Click Control Panel
  2. Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
  3. Select Manage (on the right side) next to the content item
  4. Select Adaptive Release
  5. Select desired settings in one or more section
  6. Click Submit
  7. Click OK

Note: A rule can be created for one content item. Each criterion will dictate availability of this content item to users.

Modifying a Basic Adaptive Release Rule

  1. Repeat steps 1-4 above
  2. Modify desired settings
  3. Click Submit
  4. Click OK

Adding an Advanced Adaptive Release Rule

  1. Click Control Panel
  2. Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
  3. Select Manage next to the content item
  4. Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
  5. Select Rule (top action bar)
  6. Enter a Name for the rule
  7. Click Submit to return to the Manage Criteria page
  8. Select any rule types (options) in the action bar to create a new rule
  9. Click OK
  10. Repeat steps 5-9 to add multiple rules to a single content item
  11. Click OK
  12. Click OK

Modifying the Criteria of an Advanced Rule

  1. Click Control Panel
  2. Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
  3. Select Manage next to the content item
  4. Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
  5. To add, modify, or remove, select Modify next to the criteria
  6. To add criteria, select any options in the action bar
  7. To remove criteria, click the checkbox next to the criteria and select Remove in the action bar
  8. To modify criteria, select Modify next to the description of an item
  9. Repeat step 5
  10. When done, click Submit and/ OK
  11. Click OK

Copying an Adaptive Rule

  1. Click Control Panel
  2. Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
  3. Select Manage next to the content item (that has rules)
  4. Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
  5. Click the checkbox next to the rule
  6. Select Copy in the action bar
  7. A copy of the same rule is found at the bottom of the list.
  8. To modify the Rule Name, see instructions below.

Modifying a Rule Name

  1. Click Manage next to the rule or copy
  2. Modify the Rule Name
  3. Click Submit
  4. Click OK
  5. Click OK

Removing an Adaptive Release Rule

  1. Click Control Panel
  2. Click desired Content Area (e.g. Course Documents, Course Information)
  3. Select Manage next to the content item with the rules
  4. Select Adaptive Release: Advanced
  5. Click the checkbox(es) (several rules can be removed simultaneously)
  6. Select Remove in the action bar
  7. Click OK
  8. Click OK

Note: Basic Adaptive Release rules can be removed on the Advanced Adaptive Release page.
