Lifecycle of a Blackboard Course at WWU
- Each term the instructor is responsible for requesting the courses, adding the course materials, then setting them available for the students.
- Throughout the term student enrollment of CRN courses is handled automatically by our software, and at the end of the term courses are automatically made unavailable. Archives are also automatically made at the end of each term. Changes made to courses after the end of term will not be preserved in the archive.
- Courses more than two years old are removed from the system to save storage space. The archives are kept indefinitely. To request a course older than two years, please email bbhelp@wwu.edu with the CRN, Term, and Year of the course you wish restored.
- Note: Permanent courses (courses that are always on the system) are not archived.
