Wiki on Blackboard

The Wiki tool is an add-on capability provided in Blackboard by a building block created by Learning Objects. For more detailed help, see the Learning Objects Wiki documentation in PDF format.

Configuration of the Wiki Tool

Select Control Panel
Choose an item from the Content Area area where you want the wiki to appear (or create a new button using Manage Course Menu, call it Wiki and select this)

Select Wiki from the Select drop down list to the right
Select the Go button and the Create Wiki page appears
Fill in the Name and Description
Select whether to make the wiki available
Select who can access the wiki, and how they're to be referenced
Select other options about how your students can use the wiki
If you wish to grade the student's work in the wiki, select Create a Grade Book entry for this wiki, then fill in the remaining choices for the Gradebook.
Select OK
