IMAP Settings for Faculty/Staff Email

Western's email server for faculty and staff email (First.Last@wwu.edu) can be accessed using the following clients:

• Outlook on Windows
• Entourage on Mac
• Outlook Web Access from any browser

In addition, there are many mail clients that can connect to the server using IMAP, such as Outlook Expresss 6 - too many to provide a step-by-step document for each. Below are the settings required to connect an IMAP client to the server.

Incoming Mail Server Settings

• Connection Type: IMAP
• Server Name: web.cms.wwu.edu
• Port: 993
• Requires SSL: Yes
• Login: your Universal login
• Password: your Universal password

Outgoing Mail Server Settings

• Server Name: smtp.wwu.edu
• Port: 587
• Requires SSL: Yes
• Requires Authentication: Yes
• Login: your Universal login
• Password: your Universal password
