Technical support staff in some departments have chosen to separate workstation logins from network logins (your Universal ID). If your department technical support has chosen not to configure your computer to login with your Universal ID, you may see a login box similar to the following at the first login after you have changed/reset your Universal ID password:
If you see this message, enter your old password in the password field, check the "Change your Windows password..." check box and click OK. Then you are encouraged to work with your technical support to add your computer to the WWU domain. Adding your computer to the WWU domain will alleviate any future workstation/network synchronization issues. If you choose not to configure your workstation to this standard, you will need to remember to change your local password each time your network password is changed - approximately 3 times a year.
