Setting Up Power Management on Laser Printers
HP 4+, 4M+, 4si
1. Take the printer off line.
2. Step the menu key down to the Job Menu
3. Step the item key to power save.
4. Step the +/- key to select the desired time.
5. Select the enter key to make it the default setting.
6. Select Online.
HP 5M
1. Step menu button to printing menu
2. Step item to pwrsave
3. Step value to set time
4. Touch select to make it the default
5. Hit Go
HP 4000 series, 5000 series, 5si and 8000 series
1. Step menu button to configuration menu
2. Step item button to powersave.
3. Step +/- button to set time.
4. Press select to make it the default.
5. Press go.
Laser Printers that do not have power management:
HP II, III, IIP, IIIP, 4L, 4P, 4MP, IIIsi.
