These are instructions for setting up Wireless Secure SSID for Windows 7.
Install the acs52-1 certificate. If using Internet Explorer, click on this certificate file
(If using Firefox, right click on the certificate link and "Save link as..." to your desktop. then double click the cert file and follow the instructions below)
Select "Install Certificate..."
Click "Next"
Make sure and put this Certificate in the "Trusted Root certificate Authorities" directory. You can do this by clicking "Browse..." and selecting the correct store.
Click "Next >"
Double Check your work before you click "Finish"
Once you click finish you should see this window:
You will now need to create a new wireless network connection/profile:
Right click on the Network icon on the bottom right side of the task bar (next to the clock)
select "Open Network and Sharing Center"
On the left of this menu, select "Manage wireless networks"
Select "Add" in the upper left of the Wireless network manager window
Select "Manually create a network profile"
Network Name: WWUwireless-Secure (exactly as written (case sensitive))
Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type: TKIP
Click "Next"
Now click "Change connection settings" on the success window
Match the settings to this screenshot, below:
Network authentication method, Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)
Click on "Settings"
Select [X] acs52-1.net.wwu.edu
click on "Configure..."
If the computer login credentials are the same as your universal username and password (university computers), check this. If they are not do not check this option.
Click OK
Click OK
Clcik on "Advanced Settings"
Configure windows as below. Single sign on is optional. Do not use for personal laptops (leave unchecked). Single sign on should be used only on university-owned laptops.
