Microsoft Instrumental in a WWU Education

Microsoft and its employees have been responsible for over $11 million in gifts to WWU since 1989.

There isn't another group of employees who have given as much to Western in its history, making Microsoft instrumental in helping to fund the education, scholarship and technological upgrades at Western. In fact, WWU has been recognized nationally for its cutting edge technology thanks to Microsoft's software match program. And did you know that Microsoft is one of the largest employers of WWU graduates? Over 600 Microsoft employees are either alumni or parents of students at Western.

As state funding for higher education continues to decrease, your support of Western is more important than ever. And because Microsoft matches your contribution, you can double the impact of your gift! Please make a gift during The Giving Campaign and continue the legacy of Microsoft's generosity towards Western. Thank you!

How to Donate to Western

Match your donation with Cash or Software by following the easy steps below.

Match with Cash

Make a one time or recurring gift to Western via the Give campaign (http://give). Be sure to tell us which program you want to support in the "notes" field. You can also give directly to Western at www.wwu.edu/give if that is your preferred method of making your donation. Just be sure to notify Microsoft of your gift so they can match it with cash. Not sure which program to support with your donation? See Choosing an Area of Support below.

Match with Software

Each year our labs, student-use workstations and departments have special needs for software. Please see the software donation wish list. Then make a one-time gift to Western via the Giving Campaign at http://give. Be sure to tell us which program you want your gift to support in the notes field. Not sure which program to support with your donation? See Choosing an Area of Support below. Then fill out Microsoft's Matching gift form.

Choosing an Area of Support

Not sure which area you'd like to support with your cash donation? Support the department or college from which you graduated, an athletic team, club, club sport or campus technology upgrades. See a complete list of funds. Or make a gift to the Student Scholarships fund which gives hundreds of students the financial support they need to obtain a Western education. If you'd like to set up your own scholarship, you can make a gift of $750 or more and with the cash match from Microsoft's of $750 you'd have enough to establish your very own scholarship for which you can choose a name and criteria. To start your own scholarship please contact Amber Asbjornsen at (360) 650-3616 or Amber.Asbjornsen@wwu.edu
