How to Obtain SPSS Software for Installation on a Computer that You Own

The IBM SPSS Acadamic Campus Value Program provides work-at-home rights allowing installation on workstations and/or laptops owned by licensed faculty and students for teaching and non-commercial academic research. The software will be downloaded directly from an IBM website.

IBM SPSS 21 and SPSS AMOS 21 will be installed in general university labs for the 2013-2014 academic year. IBM SPSS 22 and SPSS AMOS 22 are also available for home installation. General university labs will be upgraded to SPSS 22 prior to fall quarter 2014.

1. Request An IBM SPSS Work-at-Home License

Use your WWU email account to Email ATUS Software Services and include

  1. "I request a work-at-home license for IBM SPSS Statistics software for instructional or non-commercial academic research"
  2. Your first and last name
  3. Your academic department or the class(es) for which you will use SPSS
  4. Whether you use a Windows or Macintosh computer
  5. Windows users also indicate whether you also want AMOS, Visualization Designer, or SamplePower.

    INSTRUCTORS: Contact Software Services if you would like to arrange software access and codes for all the students in your classes

Installation instructions will only be sent to official WWU email addresses.

Students: please check your email junk folder after requesting SPSS. Some installation instructions have gone to student junk folders.

Alternately, you can obtain the software in the ATUS Software Services Office. Bring your laptop or a flash drive with 2GB available to HH 124 Monday and Wednesday between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm or by appointment.
