Work At Home Software
Some software products licensed for business use include the right to install the software on a second workstation or a workstation owned by a WWU faculty or staff member. These licenses have specific and differing terms --- sometimes use is limited to the licensee or cannot be used for personal or commercial projects. There may also be a cost involved.
This is not the same as personal use software that is not based on an exising software license, but may have eligibility requirements and/or an academic discount.

Adobe Work At Home License Summary
For Adobe products with "work at home" rights, the primary user of the computer on which the software is installed may install a second copy of the software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided that the software on the portable or home computer is not used at the same time as the software on the primary computer. The software remains the property of WWU and must be uninstalled when the licensed software is uninstalled from the work computer or when the licensee is no longer associated with WWU.
All Adobe software distributed by ATUS Software Services includes a Work At Home benefit.

Microsoft Office 2007 Home Use Program (HUP) Summary
WWU faculty and staff who use a licensed copy of Microsoft Office 2007 at work are eligible to receive one licensed copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 for installation on computer that they own due to WWU’s participation in a Microsoft Campus Agreement which includes Microsoft's Software Assurance Home Use Program (HUP). The HUP software may be used as long as employment at WWU continues and as long as WWU participates in the Microsoft Campus Agreement. A fulfillment fee $9.95 plus tax will be charged to a credit card for downloading the software. A backup DVD can be purchased for an additional $12.
The HUP replaces the Microsoft Office 2007 work-at-home program. It is not limited to the employee's exclusive use for work-related purposes as was the Microsoft Office 2007 Work-at-Home program.
Microsoft Office 2008 Work-At-Home License
Microsoft Office 2008 for Macintosh is currently the only Microsoft software for which work-at-home benefits are available.
For Microsoft products with "work at home" rights, for each software license, the primary user of the computer on or from which the product is run may also run a second copy from either a laptop or desktop computer that he or she owns or leases. The software may be used only for work-related purposes and only during the term of the agreement (including any renewals). The software remains the property of WWU and must be uninstalled when the licensed software is uninstalled from the work computer or when the licensee is no longer associated with WWU.
SPSS Work At Home License Summary
Full and part-time employees and faculty licensed for SPSS use on university-owned workstations may also install SPSS on a home computer. Use of the Software by an authorized end-user shall be for academic research, teaching or for other purposes of Licensee in accordance with the following restrictions:
- the software is not to be used for commercial timesharing, rental or service bureau use
- the software is not be used to create, or attempt to create, or permit or help others to create the source code from the software
- it is not permitted to reverse engineer or decompile the software
- The software must be uninstalled at the end of the annual license term or when the licensed software is uninstalled from the work computer or when the licensee is no longer associated with WWU.
Thomson Reuters EndNotes Work At Home License Summary
If the Software is installed only on the permanent memory of a single desktop computer which is not accessible by multiple computers, and that single desktop computer is used by the primary user no less than 80% of the time the computer is in use, that primary user may also install an additional copy of the Software, but only for use on a home or portable computer which is used by such user more than 80% of the time the home or portable computer is in use.
