Video Conferencing
Western Washington University has two special purpose rooms designed for ISDN or IP video conferencing. One room, Miller Hall 183, is designed for groups of 10 people or less. Miller Hall 186 is the other video conference room and can handle an entire class of 30 students at one time. Both rooms have external computer inputs, document cameras, and white boards to facilitate classes, meetings or training sessions. Together these two rooms have been used over 170 times from September 2004 to September 2006. Click here to see a partial list of our recent video conferences.
If you have a WWU on-line calendar, you can easily see our video conferencing room's availability. Just go to your Outlook Calendar, click on the Open a Shared Calendar link on the lower left hand side of the page, and paste the following calendar into the pop-up box…
res.rm.MH183.VideoConference - (Room Capacity - 10 people)
res.rm.MH186.VideoConference - (Room Capacity - 25 people)
Once you hit OK, the read-only version of our Video Conference scheduler should appear on your calendar view.
When we perform a service we will charge for materials and other hard costs that we incur. In addition to this charge, a charge for labor will be added for self-supported or non-University related. See the Video Services pricing sheet for more information.
