Cable or Satellite Transmission
Video Services can send programming across the WWU Campus on two different cable systems. We deliver course content to classrooms and lecture halls as well as facilitate distribution to WWU Residence Halls.
To schedule cable channel usage, you will need a Cablecast Request Form.
Satellite teleconferences are programs received through a satellite downlink. We can receive C-band and Ku-band satellite signals. The video signal can be distributed to classrooms via the campus cable system. Any classroom with interaction with the satellite program host site is generally performed via email or phone. We can provide the recording of video programs from either the local cable system or satellite transmission any time of day.

When we perform a service we will charge for materials and other hard costs that we incur. In addition to this charge, a charge for labor will be added for self-supported or non-University related. See the Video Services pricing sheet for more information.
