This latest version of the WWU Template comes with two possible sub-page variations.
In addition, a home page called index.shtml is included.
Use this template with Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and/or Contribute 3 on a server that supports Server Side Includes such as Ra or MyWeb. It can also be used with other text or html editors, but it is optimized for use in the Dreamweaver / Contribute realm.
The initial set up of this template should be done by Web Services or a Dreamweaver administrator. Once you have your site set up, follow these instructions for connecting to and modifying your site. We also provide some brief instructions for using Contribute.
If you have images you wish to use on your web site, use either Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks to edit the images for the web before you begin.
Do you have a drive mapped to the web server? Double click your MyComputer icon (PCs) and look under Network Drives. If your server is listed, remember the letter associated with the drive - you will need this in the next step. If it's not listed, go to Map Your Drive to get instructions for doing this.
Section 2 establishes where your web site is. You will need your URL.
To work on your website you can either add a page and link it to other pages or edit an existing page. Read section 3 for more information.
After you complete your editing you have the choice of publishing (Publishers only), Send for Review (Publishers and Authors), Save for Later, or Cancel (deletes your changes). Read section 4 for more information.
