Personal Web Sites

Every student and employee at Western has the ability to put up a personal web site. The physical location of this area is in a folder named myweb in your U drive. Contact the Helpdesk if you need help with this feature. Read more about MyWeb personal sites...

Group Web Sites

Academic and Administrative groups within Western can create a website with the url www.wwu.edu/sharename where sharename is a foldername that has been assigned to you by ATUS. Editing access to these sites is controlled by an AD group. To start a new website, contact WebServices. To add or remove someone from access, contact the Helpdesk. Recommended Editing Software

We recommend Adobe Dreamweaver or Adobe Contribute for your campus websites. These products are available for use in most computer labs on campus or can be procured through Software Services.

Training for web editing

The Student Technology Center offers training in Adobe Contribute and Adobe Dreamweaver for faculty, staff, and students. See the online list of classes

Reporting Errors

If you find an error on the website, look at the footer of the website to see if a website contact is provided and send the details of the error to them. If you cannot find a specific website contact send the error to WebServices and if it is not our page we will notify the owner.
