What areas are we involved in?

Simply put we support academic use of the web while ADMCS supports the financial and administrative tools. We develop and support the main Western home page. We also create tools and templates for departmental web sites as well as faculty and staff personal sites on MyWeb. We also develop and support software for special academic needs as brought to us by faculty and departments. We create templates and standards for the whole university in support of accessible, attractive, usable web sites. We also train people in web support and provide the webhelp@wwu.edu support line. Whew!

What kind of work do we do in these areas?

• we maintain a Web Help phone / email support line,
• we write and maintain software for departments,
• we advise on web coding and design standards and provide templates,
• we teach, we write instructive articles, we train on template usage
• we look for and develop new web products to support academic needs...
