Larry Gilbert, Director of ATUS, recently presented papers on aspects of academic technology at two different conferences. At the annual meeting of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology, a paper on "Four-Year Classroom Renovation Plan" was presented. This paper outlined Western's unique efforts to do strategic long-term planning for renovation and mediation of instructional spaces.
At the same conference Larry also attended a presentation by Woodring College faculty member LeAnne Robinson, who presented a paper on the Adoption of Instructional Technology in Washington elementary schools.
Larry also presented a paper on Media Education in Russia and the United States at the annual conference of the International Council for Education Media. Following a long-standing research interest, this paper outlined a plan for conducting a cross-cultural study on media adoption in the public schools in the two countries. |
