Kevin Short’s passing in January was surely a loss to many departments and individuals across campus, as it was to those of us who worked with him in ATUS. While known for his precision, professionalism, creativity, and humor in his role as Graphics Consultant at WWU, Kevin applied the same attributes in his friendships and in his musical performances in the blues band community.

Kevin treated each person’s request as a priority, providing a unique and creative service to academic endeavors, to the promotion of university activities, and especially to the annual Staff Arts and Crafts Show.

The Staff Arts and Crafts Show committee recently established an account through the Western Washington University Foundation in Kevin’s honor to benefit the annual Staff Arts and Crafts Show. Those who wish to make donations in memory of Kevin Short may mail them to the WWU Foundation at MS 9034.
