Scholarships

At the College of Business and Economics, we make every effort to recognize hard-working students, while making an investment in your potential, and assisting you in funding your education to achieve your goals. This year we expect to award nearly $170,000 in scholarships to CBE students.

We are tremendously thankful for the generosity of donors who make these scholarships possible.

Our Scholarship Program

Scholarships for the College of Business and Economics are available to students of pre-major and full-major status in all college departments and are awarded based on scholarship criteria.  Additional scholarships can be found through the WWU Scholarship Center's Facebook page.

The completion of one scholarship application is sufficient to be considered for each scholarship where the criteria established by donors are met. This includes scholarships that are specific to majors/concentrations and minority status.

Also, be sure to apply before the deadline to make sure that everything with your application is correct.

The application deadline is 5PM, Friday, April 13, 2012.

Applications are CLOSED.

If you have any questions about applications or the application process visit Parks Hall 419, or contact Angela Andreassen at 360-650-3896 or via email.

Scholarship award notifications will be sent out by email no later than July 13th.

Some departments within the College have funds available to award one or more partial tuition waivers for students. To receive a tuition waiver you must be full-time student enrolled on Western's main campus. Students admitted and enrolled through an off-campus or self-sustaining program are not eligible for these state funded tuition waivers. Departments award tuition waivers on the basis of student merit and do not take applications. If you are selected to receive a tuition waiver you will be notified through your department and the financial aid office.
