Title: Ladies' Cooperative Society records
 
Description: The Ladies' Cooperative Society of Bellingham endeavored to advance the best interests of the region, the United States, and the world. They sought to arouse an interest in the industries and trade of the community, adopting the slogan "Patronize Home Industry." (Sources: Ladies' Cooperative Society Constitution, 1917 December 28; press release sent to Whatcom County newspapers, 1895 November 19.) The records consist of meeting notices and programs, membership lists, minutes, photographs and reports documenting the club's activities from around 1895 to 1996.

Title: Larrabee family papers
 
Description: The Larrabee family papers contain records documenting the interests and activities of a prominent family in Bellingham, Washington. The collection spans the period 1840-2005, with the bulk of materials dated between 1890 and 1994. The collection comprises business records, personal papers, photographs, architectural drawings, and property and real estate records reflecting the activities of businessman Charles X. Larrabee and family members including Frances Payne, Charles Francis, Edward Payne and Consuelo McMillan Larrabee. Business records document Larrabee involvement with the Fairhaven Land Company, Brook-Nook Stock Ranche and the Roslyn-Cascade Coal Company, and include correspondence generated by Charles X. Larrabee’s private secretary, Cyrus Gates. Personal papers include genealogical information and personal correspondence generated by individual family members.

Title: Laurel Community Baptist Church records
 
Description: This collection consists of an original ledger, a transcript of the ledger and a history of the church. The church was formed in the Spring of 1908 when several Whatcom County residents decided to establish their own church in Bellingham. The records include a membership lists, financial records, minutes of meetings and church philosophy.

Title: Leedy family papers
 
Description: Clifford E. "Doc" Leedy taught and directed band classes at Bellingham High School for over forty years. In addition to teaching French, Dorothy E. Leedy was also head of the Bellingham Chapter of the People to People Program for nearly twenty years. The Leedy family papers are dated 1857-1993, and consist of correspondence, newspaper clippings, yearbooks, awards, photographs, and artifacts documenting these longtime Bellingham residents and teachers.

Title: Leopold Hotel records
 
Description: The collection comprises the corporate, financial, and personnel records from the Leopold Hotel (formerly the Byron Hotel), dating from the early-1900s to the 1980s. There are materials related to early bond- and stockholders, as well as a wealth of information about two of the hotels' managers: John C. Pierce (1936-1960) and George Knowles (1960-1979).
