Title: Wahl's Department Store Records
 
Description: The Wahl's Department Store records contain administrative and financial records, real estate, and advertising records documenting the history of a family-owned department store in Bellingham, Washington. Real estate records include floor plans for the store and also the Grand Theatre. The bulk of the collection comprises twelve bound volumes chronicling the store's advertising campaigns from 1944-1969.

Title: Wahl, Ralph E. Photographs and Papers
 
Description: The Ralph E. Wahl Photographic Collection comprises photographic materials and textual records reflecting Wahl’s activities and interests as a photographer and fisherman in the Pacific Northwest. The collection contains a substantial number of prints, slides, negatives and proof sheets documenting the sport of Fly fishing, as well as regional landscapes, rivers and wildlife. It also includes diaries, correspondence, clippings, notes and written materials relating to Wahl’s fishing activities and publications.

Pioneers include John Bennett, Annie (Judson) Ebey, Hugh Eldridge, George A. Jenkins, S.J. Kavanaugh, Charles A. McLennan, Elizabeth Austin Roeder, and Lottie Roeder Roth.

Title: Washington State Oral/Aural History Program
 
Description: The collection comprises microfiche transcripts of oral history interviews conducted between 1974 and 1977, as a bicentennial project by the Washington (State) Division of Archives and Records Management. Organized by county name or by ethnic group, the collection includes transcripts documenting lives and experiences of African Americans and Filipinos in Washington State. The collection contains an index to the transcripts, compiled by Ann Rune.

Title: Waterfront Oral History Project records
 
Description: This collection comprises oral history interviews, transcripts and related materials generated through the 2006 Waterfront Oral History Project in Bellingham, Washington. Students at Western Washington University interviewed eighteen current and former employees of the Georgia-Pacific Corporation's pulp mill on Bellingham's industrial waterfront. Interviewees discuss plant operations and topics including research into chemical byproducts and their uses in other industries, relations between the GP corporation, mill employees, and the community (including Western Washington University), as well as labor and union activity. The collection includes audio-visual footage recorded by David Albright, portions of which were incorporated into his 2006 documentary "Smells Like Money: The Story of Bellingham's Georgia-Pacific Plant".

Title: Wells, Oliver N. oral history interviews
 
Description: The Oliver N. Wells collection contains 19 seven-inch open reel oral history audio tapes relating to Pacific Coast Native American culture and to farming practices in the Chilliwack Valley of British Columbia. Except for one undated interview which Wells made for the CBC radio production, "Country Canada," and one tape of Chief Dan George, the tapes are interviews conducted by Wells between 1958 and 1968. The tapes have been indexed by person interviewed. Some transcriptions are available.

Title: Wernstedt, Lage photographs
 
Description: Lage Wernstedt photographs include photographs and glass plate negatives of mountains, glaciers, rivers, and lakes in the Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Wernstedt was a surveyor and cartographer for the U.S. Forest Service in the early and mid twentieth century.

Title: Wetherell Family papers
 
Description: The Wetherell family collection consists of correspondence, notes and writings; scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and genealogical information relating to the Wetherell, Appelby and Winston families. W.T. Wetherell was the advertising editor for the Bellingham Herald and father of June Wetherell, noted novelist and journalist. Much of the collection relates to her career, including newspaper clippings relating to her career and her notes and writings.
