Sehome Grade School

Galen Biery Collection: Center for Pacific NW Studies Western Washington University
     Sehome Grade school, built in 1890 at a cost of $11,200, included six large classrooms and a recreational area.  The school was located on the present site of Laurel Park. According to the Bellingham Bay Express, the first teaching staff included Principal J. M. Hitt, E.N. Livermore, C. H. Brown, Miss Anna Odell, Miss Elsie Morgan, and Miss Lizzie Barrett.
