Description: Back caption reads: "A. Curtis, photographer. Filling can. Patchers." A crew of approximately 15 women are hand-packing salmon. Several men are looking on in the background. The women are dressed in "Gibson Girl" style clothing. Only a few are wearing the usual waterproof apron. The blurriness of some of the people would indicate that they did not stop work to pose for the photo, but were photographed as they did their usual work.

Description: A view looking east up Holly Street from the corner balcony of the "Holly Block" on the northwest corner of Dock (Cornwall) and Holly. The sidewalks are crowded with people who apparently are awaiting a parade. Just visible, on the far left, is the corner of the Bellingham National Bank Building. Across the street, and up the hill is the roof of the Baker Hotel. Moving west along Holly the identifiable buildings are: The Henry Hotel (now YMCA), the Alaska Building with its corner drug store, the three small business buildings and then, at the corner with Railroad Avenue is the Montegue & McHugh Department Store. West, across Railroad Avenue, is an excellent view of The Mason Block (demolished in the 1960s, long time a hole in the ground, now - 2003 - the site of new construction). Three narrow brick buildings and an alley are between the Mason Block and the, just barely visible, Lighthouse Block. The first of the three buildings is occupied by G. F. Raymond's shoe store, the second by The Horseshoe Cigar Store, the third by L L. Berens, Optician.
