| Description: Caption on reverse in ink: "P.A.F.-Daly, Dillingham, Alaska" Several buildings, both houses and warehouses, at the PAF cannery, Dillingham, Alaska, on the Nushagak River in southwest Alaska. Overturned rowboats, wooden palates, lumber and metal pipes appear in the foreground. Larger houses appear on the ridge in the background. The white house on the left side of the image belonged to the cannery superintendent. The small structure barely visible behind its chimney was the superintendent's radio shack, and behind that was a house used by the winter watchman. The building to the right of the superintendent's house was a bunk house. To the right of that was a warehouse that also contained the main PAF office, and behind the warehouse building was another bunkhouse. The large structure towards the top left corner of the image was the cookhouse, and the white roof visible behind that was part of a building housing dining areas, food storage, and laundry facilities. | |||

| Description: Close up of hydrofoil boat "Flying Fish" in dry dock. Six other smaller boats are visible on dock behind it, the closest of which has "CRPA" written on its side. Appears to be South Bellingham - Fairhaven waterfront. According to McCurdy's Marine History of the Pacific Northwest, the Flying Fish was a 65 foot, 60 passenger hydrofoil, capable of a speed of 40 knots. Built in Puerto Rico, it was brought to Bellingham in 1960 to provide high speed passenger service between Bellingham and Victoria but proved unsuccessful and never made any commercial runs. | |||
