Class Name: Microsoft Word I

Description: Many students and faculty work with Word everyday without understanding some of the basics of this important software tool. In this 90 minute hands-on workshop, you will be introduced to the essential elements of Microsoft Word. Upon completion, you will be able to insert, delete, select, move and copy text; apply and change formats; control page breaks and use tables to organize information. You will be able to create a header and footer to repeat information on each page automatically. You will insert a photo, change margins and explore print options. Keyboard shortcuts and right-mouse shortcut menus will be included. No prior Word experience is required, though some experience will provide the most beneficial learning experience.
