Hands-on skills training prepares participants to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. In accordance with WAC 296-24-060, which requires provision of immediate assistance to injured or ill employees, one must also sign up for Workplace First Aid to be in state compliance. |
| Objectives:

Give individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. |
| Prerequisites:

Must be a WWU Faculty or Staff employee. Not for WWU students. WWU students should consult with Prevention & Wellness at 650-2993 for information on CPR/First Aid classes. Note: To receive a card, you must attend both CPR and First Aid classes. |
