BELLINGHAM – About 3,900 students are expected to move into Western Washington University’s residence halls and apartments from Friday, Sept. 22 through Sunday, Sept. 24. The first day of classes at Western is Wednesday, Sept. 27. Many students will be new to Western and will be introduced to campus traditions with activities that include Welcoming Convocation, faculty led Western Reads discussion panels, academic success workshops and late night social programming. “This is an exciting time to be a student at Western,” said Willy Hart, director of WWU University Residences.
