Description: Note: "William Bausman Picture. This likeness of the first newspaper editor of The Northern Light (1858) is an old newspaper cut copy secured by the writer form the University of California, Berkley. IT seems to be the only one in existence, signals possible contacts that might have his picture, except the University, reported negatively. The University librarian said it was a poor one (quite evident) but also the only one known. But we are proud to have located even this, since it illuminates a man and an event that looms large in the history of Bellingham and Whatcom County. P. R. Jeffcott." | |||
