Description: Caption: "The old Indian Community House (Smokehouse) near Goshen, built about 50 years ago by the Nooksack Indians from the remains of an older & much larger community house said by them to have been built one hundred and fifty years ago, still used as the meeting place of the Nooksack Tribe." A mounted copy is in Jeffcott Oversize. It is captioned: "Old Smokehouse of Nooksacks. Located near Goshen on the Nooksack, it was constructed of native materials in very early times. Was the seat of the Tribes Councils and celebrations."
